Product Description

Water bottles fitted with NASA-developed filters can purify water on the go. Users simply fill the bottle's base with water from any source — such as lakes and streams — and squeeze it through the passive filtration medium. The water bottle is rated effective in more than 120 countries.

NASA Description

One of the technologies NASA uses to purify water for drinking on the space station is a nanoceramic filter that forces water through a series of micron-sized pores. Bacteria and other contaminants are neutralized by a field that traps particles as the water is forced through, while silver ions kill harmful microorganisms.
